Aero Club
The Offutt Aero Club, named the Curtis E. LeMay Flight Training Center, was the first flying club in the Armed Forces. The club provides aircraft rental and a Federal Aviation Administration-approved school for private pilot to airline transport pilot licenses. The club has several aircraft. Nearly all aircraft are certified for instrument flying. Several FAA-certified flight instructors are available and flight instruction is tailored to meet the needs of the members. TDYs and shift-work schedules can be accommodated. The Aero Club stocks pilot supplies at a discount for members. For more information call (402) 294-3385.
Art and Crafts Center
Within the Arts and Crafts Center, you will find a world of creative programs, including resources and classes for do-it-yourself custom framing. The center offers a resale gallery, frame shop, and laser engraving. Classes are available in a variety of arts and crafts mediums. The Arts and Crafts Center is located in the Offutt Community Center. For more information, call (402) 294-3872.
Auto Skills Center
Designed to assist people maintain their own vehicles, this shop has 22 general-maintenance stalls (two equipped for overhead lubrications), four general-purpose lifts, two inside wash stalls, a welding and body-repair stall, and an outdoor steam-cleaning stall. There are also eight engine-bench stands for engine overhauls, a brake drum lathe, a glass-beader and testers for various parts. Many commonly needed items are stocked in the resale area. Other items can be ordered through the shop's parts store. Classes are offered periodically throughout the year; these include basic tune-up, diagnostic engine analyzing, and mechanics.
The center also maintains an automatic car wash, secure lot for storage of automobiles, and a sales lot for people who want to sell their cars.

Base Lake
The Base Lake is located on 183 acres east of Offutt and is open all year. Facilities include a large pavilion available for parties and dances, covered picnic areas, horseshoe pits, and playground equipment. There are 40 campsites with full utility hookups at the family camping area (FAMCAMP). The pavilion and covered shelters can be reserved through the Outdoor Recreation Office at 294-2108. Campsite reservations can also be made at 294-2108. Camping permits are available at the Boathouse. Campsites may be rented during the winter months (October through April) by self-registering at the drop box located at the campground on-site or through the Equipment Rental Office located on Butler Boulevard. The lake is stocked with a variety of fish, but before you cast, ensure you comply with Nebraska fishing laws. The CAST-A-WAYS Boathouse has Nebraska hunting and fishing licenses, bait, cold drinks, and snacks for sale, and it rents canoes and paddleboats.
Child Development Center
The Child Development Center (CDC) provides full-time care for children 6 months through five years old on a space available basis. Fees are based on total family income. Hourly care for children 10 months to 10 years of age is available but reservations are required and space is limited. The center is located in Building 5096 at 25th Street and Kennedy Drive. Additional programs include the Offutt Enrichment Center’s developmental preschool for ages 3 to 5, Extended Duty Care, and the Give Parents a Break program. Community Center
Offutt’s Community Center provides exciting activities and programs for people of all ages throughout the year. The sprawling center features activity rooms with billiards, ping pong, foosball, electronic video games systems and board games; a Children’s Playzone for young children up to seven years of age; two Music Rooms for learning to play and practice musical instruments; and several multi-use rooms for special events. Classes in cooking, dance, piano, guitar, voice, yoga, chess, and dog obedience are just some of the many classes offered. Special events include theater and talent shows, game tournaments, dances, dorm-parties and community holiday celebrations. For a nominal fee, rooms may be reserved for personal or civic functions with kitchen facilities available as needed. The center is located next to the Base Outdoor Pool at the end of Generals Row. Ronald L. King Dining Facility
This first-class dining facility operation is located near the Airmen’s dormitories, serving more than 17,000 meals a month in support of the Air Force’s readiness and peacetime missions. The dining facility offers a cafeteria-style operation with a wide variety of menu items each day. Its convenient location makes nutritious grab-and-go specialties easy for troops on the run. Equipment Rental
Equipment Rental is located on Butler Boulevard, providing a wide variety of rental equipment to base personnel. Rental equipment includes home, lawn, and garden equipment, party supplies, and recreational equipment such as boats, canoes, and camping gear. For more information, call (402) 294-4049/2167.
Family Child Care
Family Child Care (FCC) is the care of children in licensed on-base or affiliated off-base homes. The FCC program certifies applicants who wish to operate a home child care facility under base jurisdiction, provides ongoing support and resources to providers, and advertises the program within the Offutt community. Offutt's Family Child Care Providers are well trained professionals who provide quality child care for children from 2 weeks to 12 years of age.
Care is available 24 hrs a day, and is aimed at accommodating parents who work swing and mid shifts, days, alerts, extended TDY’s, weekends, extended duty care, PCSing or who have a child requiring specialized care. Parents seeking a provider or interested in becoming an FCC provider may call the Family Child Care Office at (402) 294 -9016, Monday thru Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Fitness and Sports Center
The Offutt Field House provides base members with an outstanding fitness facility. This facility offers a lap-swimming pool and coed sauna, four racquetball courts, three tennis courts, two multipurpose courts (basketball, volleyball,) as well as one additional basketball court and an indoor soccer field, a running track that is .4 miles in length, and a wide variety of cardiovascular training equipment. It just recently created a large collocated free weight and resistance area, an aerobics room, a spin room as well as new basketball shoot out area and indoor driving ranges. Day lockers are plentiful and a play area for children is featured. The Field House also has a juice bar for patrons to utilize and purchase their favorite energy drinks and smoothies. The Field house also has a co-located HAWC to insure all your fitness needs are addressed. The fitness center offers incentive programs for all patrons to participate in. Intramural Sports — The Offutt sports program offers basketball, softball, volleyball indoor soccer and flag football. If you are interested in participating in one of these sports, contact your unit sports representative or the Intramural sports office at 294-5451.or 294-5413 at the Offutt Field House. .
Golf Courses
Offutt is fortunate to have two golf courses, Willow Lakes and Warrior Nine. The eighteen-hole Willow Lakes course is located in the Capehart housing area and Warrior Nine (a nine-hole course) is located on base behind the Offutt Club.
Willow Lakes -- Two putting greens and an outdoor driving range. Club storage and golf carts, lockers, and club rentals are also available. In addition, the Willow Lakes Pro Shop offers a wide selection of golfing supplies and equipment. It also features a grill offering a year-round lunch and dinner menu. Information, Ticket & Travel (ITT)
The ITT office is located in the Offutt Community Center. Tickets to local attractions and events can be purchased at discounted prices, as well as advance tickets for national theme parks like Walt Disney World. For more information about tickets and vacation packages, call (402) 294-5406.
Patriot Club
The Patriot Club serves as the hub and heart of Offutt’s military and social celebrations. The Club caters to all ranks, retired military personnel, and their families and combines all operations. Regular activities in the Fireside Dining Room include Brunch on the first Sunday of the month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a program of evening dining Thursday thru Saturday. For lunch, a buffet and ala carte items are available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Members receive discounts on all meal purchases and enjoy Members Only special events throughout the year. For special functions, the Catering Service offers a wide choice of menus and room arrangements. Rooms may be reserved for military, civic and personal special events.

Offutt Equestrian Facility (Stables)
The Offutt Equestrian Facility, located near the Base Lake, offers 32 stalls with paddocks, individual tack rooms, hay storage, and indoor and outdoor riding arenas for horse owners wishing to board and care for their horses. For stall reservations or more information, call (402) 294-6039/2108.
Offutt Library
The Thomas S. Power Library staff is dedicated to the information needs of the Offutt Community. Resources include 70,000 books ranging from bestsellers to highly technical subjects, plus a large selection of magazines, videos, DVDs, audio books, e-books, plus special collections and extensive computer-based electronic resources. The Library provides computers offering free internet access, standard MS Office programs and research capabilities with free printing. Children enjoy their own library area and special events, such as the Summer Reading Program. Fax service is available for a fee. Outdoor Recreation
Outdoor Recreation oversees the Base Lake, FAMCAMP, Horse Stables, Rod and Gun Club, Paintball, Outdoor Adventure Programs, Equipment Rental, and all four Swimming Pools. It’s Outdoor Adventure and Tour Program sponsors trips to local areas and attractions. Special outings can be tailored for your organization or club. Peacekeeper Lanes Bowling Center
The 20-lane Bowling Center, located on the ground floor of the Martin Bomber Building, offers league and open play. This popular center offers Xtreme Bowling on Wednesday and weekend evenings and provides a snack bar with a full range of fast foods and beverages. Rod and Gun Club
The Rod and Gun Club represents the needs of Offutt’s sportsmen, hunters and fishermen. Two skeet ranges, a trap range, a sporting clays system, and clubhouse are located near the E-4B hangar off Gemini Boulevard. A resale store stocks shooting accessories and accepts special orders. Swimming
Offutt’s three outdoor swimming pools are open from May to September, on Memorial Day and closing on Labor Day. The Capehart Pool offers a children's pool, complete changing facilities, locker rooms, and a sun deck. The Base Pool, located east of Generals Row, provides changing facilities, locker rooms, and a sun deck. The Hilltop Pool is a small pool located behind Bldg. 324 for use by dormitory residents. Veterinary Services
The base Veterinary Clinic (Bldg 163) provides outpatient care for routine vaccinations and many pet health problems. An appointment is necessary. The office is open Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday clinics and special events are held at various times during the year. Surgical and X-ray facilities are not available. Wood Skills Center
A wide selection of power and hand tools for woodworking projects is available in the shop, located on the lower level of the Martin Bomber Building, through entrance 4. Power equipment includes table saws, jointers, handsaws, lathes, an over-arm saw, drill presses, a shaper, miter boxes, and a planer. Various specialty wood working classes are offered.
Patrons must be certified by a staff member before using the equipment and classes in woodworking are ongoing. The sales store offers a variety of woods, screws, nails, and sandpaper. In addition, time permitting; they do custom woodworking projects at a reasonable price. For more information, call (402) 294-3318.
Youth Programs
Offutt’s Youth Programs offers sports, classes, social events, school-age programs, summer camps, specialty camps, peer counseling, youth diversion, and relocation/transition support for children ages 5 – 18 years old. Parents must register their children and pay an annual $25 Membership Fee.
The year-round sports program includes soccer, baseball, softball, flag-football, basketball, cheerleading, and swimming lessons. Classes are also offered in gymnastics, tap, ballet, jazz, martial arts, and piano. Youth Programs and the Youth Center (Bldg 5085) are located by the Army and Air Force Exchange Service Theater and Shoppette in Capehart Housing. For more information, call (402) 294-5152.
