Army and Air Force Exchange Service
The Army and Air Force Exchange Service offers a wide range of goods and services for military people and their families.  The base exchange contains a flower shop, gift shop, health supplements store, cellular phone store, optical shop, barber shop and food court. The exchange also operates a military clothing sales store, beauty shops, a laundry/dry cleaner and an alterations tailor shop. Construction of a new Exchange Shopping Mall is currently underway with completion scheduled by summer 2008. For specific facility hours, visit www.aafes.com.

Shoppettes
Offutt has three Shoppettes. The Mini-Mall Shoppette is located off Garland Avenue. The Wherry Shoppette is located on Nelson Drive. The Capehart Shoppette is located in Capehart Housing off 25th Street and Hruska Boulevard.

Base Exchange food court
The food court, located in the Base Exchange Mall, offers a variety of fast-food choices, including Robin Hood deli-style sandwiches, Anthony’s Pizza, and the popular Charley's Steakery featuring grilled Philly sandwiches and a variety of specialty salads.

Military Clothing Sales Store
The Offutt Military Clothing Sales Store is located in Bldg. 418 off SAC Boulevard. The facility stocks issue and commercial military items as well as other military related merchandise. For current hours, visit www.aafes.com.

Burger King
Burger King is located in the Offutt Mini Mall on Garland Boulevard. It offers Burger King's standard fare of breakfast sandwiches and biscuits, hamburgers, specialty sandwiches, salads, ice cream and other side items..

Capehart Theater
The theater offers first-run films for military people and their families, typically Friday and Saturday. The facility is located near the shoppette in the Capehart housing area.

Car Care Center
The Exchange operates a Car Care Center in the Offutt Mini Mall, dispensing three grades of gasoline and staffed with ASE certified mechanics.

RV Storage
Offutt RV storage lot is located near the AAFES Wherry Shoppette on the north side of the base.  The lot has 380 8-, 20- and 25-foot spots and 88 26- to 40-foot spots. The lot has a keyless entry pad for 24-hour access.  Vacancies are limited.  For more information, call (402) 294-2167.

Financial Institutions
There are two financial institutions available on Offutt – Great Western Bank and SAC Federal Credit Union. Each offers several ATMs in various locations around base.

Commissary
The commissary stocks more than 13,000 grocery items and offers fast checkout, with 18 lanes.  Complete in-store bakery and deli are available. The hours are: Monday, closed; Tuesday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call (402) 294-6784 or visit www.commissaries.com.

Chapel services
Offutt offers religious programs in two non-denominational chapels.  The SAC Memorial Chapel is located next to the Parade Grounds in the Fort Crook Historical District, and the Capehart Chapel is across the street from Ehrling Bergquist Clinic on 25th Street and Capehart Road.

Special Needs Identification and Assignment Coordination Process
The Special Needs Identification and Assignment Coordination Process (formerly known as Exceptional Family Member Program) is offered through the 55th Medical Group.  Representatives assure a smooth flow for people moving to Offutt by providing counseling, referral, resource information and liaison with on- and off-base agencies to military families with special needs members.  For more information, call (402) 294-2989.

Airman and Family Readiness Center
The Offutt Airman and Family Readiness Center is committed to assisting commanders, active duty military, guard and reserve personnel, eligible family members, and DoD civilian employees manage the competing demands of the military mission and family and enhance community readiness. The center provides a wide array of comprehensive services including family life issues, personal financial assistance, deployment support, transition assistance, employment, relocation, information and referral and crisis management. The Airman and Family Readiness Center works closely with the Air Force Aid Society, Navy Relief Society and Army Relief Services to provide emergency assistance to our personnel and their families. Public Affairs
The 55th Wing Public Affairs Office publishes the Air Pulse, the base newspaper, on Thursdays.  More than 10,000 copies are distributed around the base, including the Capehart and Coffman Heights housing areas.  The deadline for submissions is noon Friday, one week before publication.  For Air Pulse information, call (402) 294-4947. The Roll Call, an electronic newsletter featuring command-directed information, is distributed to all Team Offutt users via e-mail three times a week.  To submit information for publication in the Roll Call, email rollcall@offutt.af.mil.
The public affairs office also acts as an interface between the base and the community.  Public Affairs is responsible for all news media interaction, base tours, the base speakers’ bureau and other community relations programs.
Volunteers are always needed to assist with speaking engagements and to act as tour guides.  The staff can be reached at (402) 294-3663.

Red Cross
The American Red Cross provides worldwide emergency communications in the event of a critical accident, illness, death or birth in a service member’s immediate family.  The Red Cross will verify the situation and relay an emergency leave request, if necessary, to the proper military authorities.  This service is available by calling (888) 737-4306. 


At Offutt, the Red Cross provides health and safety classes and volunteer opportunities for CPR and first aid Instructors, hospital services, disaster services, blood services, and youth programs.


The Red Cross periodically sets up a mobile blood bank at Offutt for those interested in donating.  Call (402) 232-5663 for more information.
