Like many, I was shocked to learn of his death last week. Not only was Gary good at his job as director of the Sarpy County Historical Museum, he was a good man who was good for this county.

Your performance Saturday in the finals of the Class A state tourney might have surprised some, but not me. Well-coached teams rise to the occasion and that’s exactly what you did against Millard West. Congratulations on winning a second straight state championship.
