EDITORIAL: Be counted

Everyone will soon receive the 2010 Census form in the mail. It is very important that everyone fill out and mail back the form as soon as possible.
Every 10 years, Census data is collected. The data is used to determine how federal funds are distributed to state and local governments.
This year’s Census asks only 10 questions. So, in just about 10 minutes, you can make a huge difference in guiding future decisions.
Money for roads, community facilities, schools, grocery stores, housing and more can be determined by Census data.
The Census is the only way the government has to count everyone living in the United States.
Be counted. An accurate count is critical to ensuring a better quality of life for you and your neighbors.
